I enjoyed this book, though I found parts of it a bit slow. The end, however, made it all worthwhile. There was an underlying theme of stars and constellation patterns that I don't feel as if I fully grasped but it didn't make the story any less enjoyable. My one complaint with the book was the array of strange names. No one had a common name which made me aware that it was a book and not the real world. Many of the names were also laden with meaning, which isn't necessarily bad but was sometimes distracting and an overt demonstration of cleverness on the author's part that was gratuitous.
