The Distant Hours

The Distant Hours - Kate Morton About 3/4 of the way through this book I couldn't wait for it to be over. I had liked two of her earlier books, but this one felt as if the author were making decisions and changes about who her characters were as the novel progressed rather than remembering the hints and foreshadowing she had laid out earlier. I also found it very hard to believe the ending on several fronts—for the narrator, for her mother, and for the sisters Blythe.
